Citel’s
DS250VG/150VG are designed to protect against direct and indirect effects of
lightning. The device is extremely rugged for application in high lightning
density areas where the risk of heavy surge current or even direct strikes
is a serious concern. It can be configured for both single and three phase
networks.
This DS250VG is designed to
withstand 25kA (10/350us) which is similar to a direct lightning strike. The
unique MOV-GDT hybrid design produces no follow current (If) after the surge
and no leakage current in stand-by mode. The residual voltage produced is
less than 600V. |

The DS100EG spark gap is designed to be
used with the DSx50E or DSx50VG surge protection modules to provide common
and differential surge protection for AC power networks described in
ANSI/IEEE C62.41, IEC-61643-11, and VDE 0675-6/A2. The device is UL1449 2nd
listed and is connected between neutral (N) and ground (G/PE) wires.
The DS100EG incorporates CITEL’s P100 high energy gas
tubes which offer much lower clamping voltages than "air" spark gap
technology while maintaining very large surge handling capability on either
the 10/350µs or 8/20µs waveforms. It is mechanically similar to the DS250E
and DS150E series making it easy to use both products jointly. |

Citel's M40/M18 compact, low profile surge protectors are designed to protect local distribution
panels, OEM control panels, PLC’s, and SCADA systems against transient surge
events. These devices are installed parallel to the AC network and provide
robust surge handling capability. The M40 is available for all three phase
applications and is rated at 40kA (8/20µs) transient amps per phase. The M18
is a single phase device with a transient amp rating of 36kA (8/20µs).
The M40 and M18 are pre-wired and installed via a case molded back nipple.
Installation can be performed in less than 5 minutes. Power up the device
and front panel LEDs provide instant visual status indication. |

“surge protection” function is completed by RFI filtering. This combination
of functions results in enhanced efficiency against transient overvoltages
